August Favourites!

Summer is coming to an end and it’s the end of August so I decided I would do an August favourites. I have a nice selection of a few things I’ve been loving this month. 

1. Twister Ice Lollies

I have been loving these ice lollies so much. I have been eating these all my life in the summer and I love them so much and I have been eating them loads this month. They are so yummy and refreshing.

2. Gilmore Girls TV Show

This is my absolute favourite of all the favourites!! There is a TV show on Netflix called Gilmore Girls and it is 7 seasons and I am in season 6 and I have been watching it for only a couple of weeks! I absolutely love it! I’ll be so sad to finish it.  I would completely recommend this show and if you are reading this then you should watch it!

3. Piñta Colada Shower Gel & Sorbet

These two products are from a new summer range from The Body Shop. They smell so good and fruity! I would recommend these products so much.

4. Strawberry Body Spray

This product is from Boots and it was a present from my friend for my birthday in May and I have used it a lot this month. It’s very light and fruity and I prefer to use sprays and mists in the summer time. I have used it most days this summer.

5. Simply Sensitive Day Moisturiser.

This product is from boots and I have used a similar product before and loved it so I picked this up and it has SPF in it so it is perfect for summer to protect your face from the sun and it as you can imagine it smells of suncream which is a bonus because I love the smell of suncream. It’s also so moisturising!

How To Make Chocolate Crinkle Cookies!

One of my favourite things to make is chocolate crinkle cookies and I have made them for my friends before and they love them and I love them so I decided I’d do a post on the recipe because they are so delicious! They are also perfect to bake and bring with you for a picnic to share which is what I did with the ones I made!

Ingredients:

Icing sugar – 60g

Plain Flour – 230g

Cocoa Powder – 40g

Baking Powder – 1 1/2 teaspoons 

Salt – 1/4 teaspoon 

Butter – 115g

Sugar – 250g

Large Eggs – 2

Vanilla Essence – 1/2 teaspoon

Instructions: 

1. Preheat the oven to 180. Grease 1 baking tray with butter.

2. In a medium bowl, stir together the flour, cocoa, baking powder and salt.

3. In a large bowl, using an electric mixer on medium speed, beat the butter and sugar for about 3 minutes, until creamy. 

4. Add 1 egg and beat on medium speed until blended. Add the other egg and vanilla and beat till blended. 

5. Turn off the mixer and add the flour mixture to the sugar, egg and butter mixture. Mix of low speed until blended.

6. Put icing sugar into a small bowl.

7. Using a tablespoon, scoop up a rounded spoonful of dough. Scrape the dough off the spoon into the palm of your other hand. Roll the dough into a ball.

8. Roll the ball in the icing sugar  until covered. Place the balls on a prepared baking sheet.

9. When the baking sheet is full, put it in the oven and bake the cookies for 10-12 minutes.

10. Using oven mitts, remove the baking sheet from the oven and let the cookies cool for 15 minutes. Then enjoy!

Back To School: Stationary Haul!

Yes I am aware that this is also an extra post and isn’t one of my posting days but I really wanted to do a stationary haul for back to school and I am going back to school in less than a couple of weeks so I wanted to do this as an extra post. So I wanna get straight into this so here’s my stationary haul! 

1. Pencil Case

I got a gorgeous pencil case which is a beautiful blue and white pattern with a gold zip. This was£6.99 from WHSmiths.

2. Two Wallet Folders

I got these really cute wallet folders from ASDA for £1.20 each. I am going to use one for revision material and the other one for homework.

3. A Notebook 

I bought this really cute notebook from ASDA for £3 and it’s really big and I’m going to use it for lined paper and note taking.

4. Black Pens

I bought 8 papermate ink joy pens for school from ASDA.

5. Pencils

I bought a pack of 12 pencils that are really cute and colourful from ASDA.




6. Highlighters

I bought a pack of 4 highlighters from ASDA. They are useful for revising and work in class.

7. Maths Set

I bought a maths set that includes a compass, protracter, a small pencil, a rubber, a sharpener, a ruler and triangles.

8. A Sharpener.

I bought a blue sharpener from ASDA.

9. Rubbers

I bought two rubbers from ASDA which are green and pink.

10. Glue Sticks

I bought a pack of 5 mini glue sticks because I’m always losing them but I will only take 2 to school. They are from ASDA like everything else in this haul.

Back To School Tag!

Yes I know it’s a Tuesday and it’s not my normal time and it’s not one of my postings days but my friend Alivia did this post and I really wanted to do it so here’s an extra post!

1. Do you like school?

Of course I find some subjects boring and I can be really tired in school but I find school bearable and sometimes enjoyable. I enjoy some subjects like History, French, Art and Drama. Also I get to see my friends at school so that’s great and most people probably get annoyed at me in school because I’m always hugging people haha!

2. What are you excited and nervous for when you go back?

I’m excited to see people who I haven’t seen over the holidays. I’m also really excited to get new books and use my new school bag and stationary haha! I’m not really nervous for anything except from I’m starting some GCSE criteria in main lessons and I also have to choose my options and I really don’t know what to pick!

3. What subjects are you taking?

When I go back to school, I have to choose my options. I have been thinking and thinking and I have no idea what to pick! The only thing I know I’m definitely doing is History!

4. What is your all time favourite subject?

I love History, French, Art and Drama but my all time favourite is probably History.

5. What is your least favourite subject?

Science! I absolutely hate it!

6. What is your schedule?

Form, Period 1, Period 2, Break, Period 3, Form, Lunch, Period 4 and Period 5. Then going home!

Each lesson is an hour long and I start school at 8:45am and then I finish school at 3:10pm.

7. Do you do any extra-curricular activities?

No I don’t, I do all the shows so I have to stay behind after school to rehearse when there is a show on. I’m not sporty but I love netball but I’m not on the team and I don’t know why I don’t wanna join!

8. What is your favourite thing about your school?

Probably the shows I they put on as I love being a part of them!

9. Tips on how to survive a long boring lesson.

Try and pay attention and just stick through it and the time will pass. If you end up zoning out, ask a friend who payed full attention to share notes or just fill you in on the lesson. I wouldn’t recommend doing this and you should really pay attention but this is if it’s very boring and you are feeling really tired.

10. What year were you in when you started wearing makeup?

I still don’t really wear makeup but when I’m older I will.

11. Where do you like to go for Back 2 School supplies?

WHSmith and supermarkets actually have some cute stuff especially asda!

12. Non-beauty essentials that you have to keep in your bag.

Water Bottle, Deodrant, Body Spray, Girl essentials and hand cream.

13. What are your school related goals?

To revise a lot more, pay more attention and ask the teacher when I don’t understand something we covered in class.

14. What do you want to do when you graduate?

When I finish high school, I want to go to college and university. After that I’m unsure about what job I want, I think I’d like to be a teacher.

15. How do you balance your friends, family, school and blogging?

Well friends I see in school and on the weekends, my extended family I see on the weekends, school stuff like homework I try to get done as soon as I get it after school and blogging I try to write and schedule for far ahead.

How To Stay Cool At Night!

September isn’t far away so the hot nights won’t be for much longer but it’s still August and it can get very hot at night and I just can’t sleep when it’s too hot. I have plenty of tips for staying cool at night. My friend Heather did a similar post about staying cool in general so please check her blog out https://heatherforeverxo.wordpress.com

Here are my tips for staying cool at night:

1. About half an hour before you get into bed, open the window in your room and leave a fan on. Also turn your duvet over so when you you come up to bed, your duvet is cool for when you turn it over.

2. Always keep a bottle of water with you so if you get thirsty or too warm there is a bottle of water so have one prepared in the freezer or fridge.

3. Wear thin shorts and a t shirt for pyjamas so you stay nice and cool.

4. It’s a scientific fact that if you dab some cold water on a pulse point like your wrist or neck, it cools your whole body down.

5. If yo have a spray bottle, fill it with cold water and spray it on your pillow gently before you go to sleep. Or you could just dab some water on with your hands.

Picnic at Worden Park!

A few days ago, I went to the park with my friends Heather, Rebekah and Anna. This is a collab with my friend Heather who will be doing a post on the day to. Please check her blog out because she is so lovely and would appreciate it http://heatherforeverxo.wordpress.com

We chose a lovely spot under a tree to put our blanket down and we got all our food out and just had a yummy picnic in the sun.

We then head over to the ice cream hut and got an ice cream and I got a marshmellow cone which I love so much!

Eating our ice creams, we took a walk over to the corn maze and attempted to reach the middle and failed and went back to the entrance haha!

The park we went to have a beautiful walled garden that is so pretty and summery and we had a little photo shoot of the pretty garden! They also had a little section with pets in like birds and rabbits.

We walked down a footpath and came across a little bridge and some running water and we just had a wonder around.

It was one of the most lovely, summery days I’ve had this summer and I had such a nice time.

What To Pack In Your Suitcase + Carry On For A Holiday!

I am super excited for this post! I absolutely love summer and holidays and it’s just a really happy time for me. Of course some people won’t be able to go away this summer but if you are going abroad or if you’re going on holiday in your country then this post is gonna help you pack for cold or hot weather and what to take in your carry on if you’re flying to your destination. I am going away in a few weeks to Lake Garda so I am starting to make a packing list. – Have essentials in your carry on so if you lose your suitcase then you have your essentials with you.

– Put products into a travel container so they take up less room and so you are only taking some of your product as you don’t need a whole bottle of product for a holiday.

If Youtubers Were Disney Characters!

I am so excited for this post! I am going to be saying which Disney characters I think some youtubers would be! This is only a select few so let me know which ones you think in the comments! This is a collab with my friend Alivia and she is also going to be doing the same post and we both have no idea which Disney characters the other has chosen for the youtubers. Let’s get into this! First off I am going to be doing the Youtuber couples or friend duos!

1. Zoe Sugg + Alfie Deyes ( Zalfie) – Cinderella and Prince Charming from Cinderella!

I think this is absolutely perfect as they make such a good couple and Zoe is so kind hearted and would make a great Cinderella!

2. Joe Sugg + Caspar Lee – Timon ( Joe) and Pumba ( Caspar) from The Lion King!

I love this one! They are both funny and good friends but also have Banta and I think it’s perfect!

3. Dan + Phil – Tod ( Dan) an Copper ( Phil) from The Fox and The Hound!

I think this is such a cute one and they make the most adorable duo and it just makes sense!

4. Jack + Finn Harries – Chip + Dale from their series and film!

This is obvious and it just makes sense because they are identical twins and it was an easy decision.

5. Tanya + Jim – Ariel + Prince Eric from The Little Mermaid!

I was thinking for a while about these two and it just came to me that this would be perfect as Tanya would do anything to be with Jim and they make a perfect couple.

6. Louise Pentland – The Fairy Godmother from Cinderella!

This was one of the easiest ones as Louise clearly takes the title as the fairy godmother of YouTube as she sprinkles her magic and positivity and loveliness and glitter all over YouTube!

7. FunforLouis – Tarzan from Tarzan!

This was so easy! He has hair like Tarzan and he is so adventurous and loves the outdoors and would make a great Tarzan!

8. Niomi Smart – Aurora ( Sleeping Beauty) from Sleeping Beauty!

I chose this one because she looks a lot like Aurora and has such a lovely, sweet personality like Aurora and I just thought it made sense.

9. Connor Franta – Prince Phillip from Sleeping Beauty!

Hold up! I’m not saying Connor and Niomi would be together as he’s gay but I just thought he’d make a perfect prince Phillip! He looks like him and he’d so be a handsome prince in a Disney film!

10. Pewdiepie – Madhatter from Alice in Wonderland!

This was such an easy choice! They are both absolutely nuts and crazy and lowkey freak me out so it was such an easy decision.

11. Shane Dawson – Hades from Hercules!

I was stuck on this one but then it came to me that Shane is like kind of evil and probably wants to kill people so what a perfect choice to make him Hades, God of the Underworld.

12. Troye Sivan – Peter Pan from Peter Pan!

This is my all time favourite one. He’d make the perfect Peter Pan. He’s young and wild and omg it’s just perfect. Also he has a song called lost boy so it’s obviously perfect!

13. Lydia ( as in LucyandLydia) – Marie from The AristoCats.

She’s girly and sweet and fun and I think it’s just perfect and cute! I could imagine Lydia saying things Marie says!

14. Evan Edinger – Milo from Atlantis – The Lost Empire!

It makes so much sense! Evan looks so much like milo and can speak so many different languages like Milo! I really like this one!

15. Noodlerella ( Connie) – Honey Lemon from Big Hero 6.

She’s positive, lovely and full of energy and she kind of looks like her. Honey Lemon just came straight to my mind when choosing this one!

Finding Dory Review!

I am going to start doing film reviews every time I go to see a film at the cinema that has come out. I have recently been to see the new Pixar film Finding Dory which is essentially a sequel to the Pixar film Finding Nemo. I went to see this film with my friends Zoe, Dominic, Abi and Kiera. I am going to be giving my opinions on the film and summing up the plot and then I will rate the film in stars. I hope you enjoy this post!
So first I am doing a plot summary for if you have not seen this film yet and you are considering watching it. 

This film is about a fish called Dory who lost her family when she was little and never found them. In her adult life, things come up that jog her memory, as she has short term memory loss, about her parents and her losing them. She goes on a mission to find her parents but along the way she loses her friends Nemo and Nemo’s dad Marlin. Her friends try to find her and it’s about their journey of Dory trying to find her parents in the Marine Life Institute in captivity. She meets new characters who help her in her journey and she befriends them.

My opinion on this film is that I think it’s okay. It’s quite cute and I did enjoy it but it could never reach the standards of Finding Nemo. I find when there is a sequel to any Disney film that I don’t like it and it could never be anywhere near as good as the original film. If you’re a Disney fan then I say that you should go watch it just because it’s a Disney film ( that’s why I watched it haha). If you aren’t a particular Disney fan that I don’t think it’s worth the watch. It is quite sweet though and I did enjoy watching it. I wouldn’t watch it again though.

I rate this film about 3/5 stars as it was quite cute and I enjoyed watching it and seeing the characters from Finding Nemo but then the story line wasn’t that great and it was nowhere near as good as Finding Nemo.

50 Questions You’ve Never Been Asked YouTube Tag!

I really enjoy doing tags and my friend Alivia has done this before and I thought it would be fun to do!

1. What’s your favourite candle scent?

I love fresh scents for summer and I also love sweet Christmas candles as well! Autumn candles are also so good!

2. What female celebrity do you wish was your sister?

Probably Emma Watson because I love her so much and I can imagine she’d be a great older sister!

3. What male celebrity do you wish was your brother?

Not trying to make a Harry Potter reunion haha but Daniel Radcliffe because he’d be so cool as a brother!

4. How old do you think you’ll be when you get married?

Mid – Late 20’s probably

5. Do you know a hoarder?

No I don’t think I do. I’m definitely not a hoarder because I absolutely hate mess and untidiness so I couldn’t hold onto stuff that made my room messy haha! 

6. Can you do a split?

No I have never been able to do a split even though I did 7 years of gymnastics! I was so close a few years ago though.

7. How old were you when you learned how to ride a bike?

I was 6 and I fell off straight away but I was on grass so it’s okay! I can only ride for like half a mile and then I get tired. I have very bad stamina.

8. How many oceans have you swam in?

I don’t really swim in oceans as I’m not a very good swimmer and I don’t like going in the sea and I’d rather look at the sea and sit on the beach because I find it relaxing.

9. How many countries have you been to?

I’ve visited the same countries quite a lot but that doesn’t count. About 4 I think but I’ve gone to the same countries lots.

10. Is anyone in your family in the army?

No there is no one in my family who is in the army.

11. What would you name your daughter if you had one? 

Caitlin, Imogen or Aria. I also like the name Belle but I feel it’s pretentious. Amber is also a lovely name.

12. What would you name your son if you had one?

Noah, Aaron and Oscar. Oliver and Charlie are also nice names.

13. What’s the worst grade you got on a test?

I’m unsure but probably when I got a level 3 on a maths paper in year 7.

14. What was your favorite TV show when you were a child?

Ooo I had so many! When I was very little I loved to shows such as The Rubber Dubbers, Barney The Dinosaur, In The Night Garden, Balamory and Fifi and The Flowerpots. When I got older I loved Disney channel shows like Hannah Montana and I also loved victorious and Icarly.

15. What did you dress up as on Halloween when you were eight?

I dressed up as a witch in as green dress and witch hat.

16. Have you read any of the Harry Potter, Hunger Games or Twilight series?

I’ve read all the Harry Potter books quite a lot of times as I’m a massive Harry Potter fan. I tried reading the hunger games series but I couldn’t get into them. I’m not interested in reading the twilight series.

17. Would you rather have an American accent or a British accent?

I would rather have a British accent as I like British accents but it could be cool to have an American accent.

18. Did your mother go to college?

Yes my mum went to college.

19. Are your grandparents still married?

Well all my grandparents have passed away except one grandad but they were still together when they died.

20. Have you ever taken karate lessons?

No I was never interested plus I’m too weak and lazy.

21. Do you know who Kermit the frog is? 

Yes of course!

22. What’s the first amusement park you’ve been to?

Probably somewhere like Flamingo Land or Guillevers World.

23. What language, besides your native language, would you like to be fluent in?

French or Italian as they are both lovely sounding languages.

Grey!

No he is not. He’s in his early 50’s but he has hair!

I don’t but I know twins!

27. Do you prefer Titanic or The Notebook?

I haven’t seen The Notebook so Titanic even though it makes me sad.

No but it’s not something I’d like. 

29. What’s the name of your favorite restaurant?

I love Nandos, Frankie & Bennies, Bella Italia and I just love any Italians.

30. Have you ever been to Olive Garden?

No I don’t know what that is.

31. Do you belong to any warehouse stores (Costco, BJ’s, etc.)?

No.

32. What would your parents have named you if you were the opposite gender? 

I think they were gonna call me Ethan.

I don’t really have a nickname but in primary school I was called things like Kate, KitKat and Katy.

I don’t have one favourite person. My favourite people are my friends and family and my Guinea pigs haha.

35. Would you rather live in a rural area or in the suburbs?

I’d probably live in the city.

36. Can you whistle?

Yes and I’m quite good at it.

No I used to sleep with the main light on until I was like 9 and I don’t know how I slept haha!

Yes I do because I’m usually hungry in the morning!

No.

I don’t have any.

41. How many times have you been to the hospital? 

Except from when I was born I haven’t been to the hospital!

Yes of course I’m a massive Disney fan and I’ve seen Finding Dory too!

43. Where do you buy your jeans?

I don’t wear jeans but I have one pair from H&M.

44. What’s the last compliment you got?

I can’t remember. I know a lot of lovely people. So it will be pretty recently!

45. Do you usually remember your dreams in the morning? 

Yes usually but sometimes they are very long so I only remember some parts of them. They can be really weird sometimes and I usually tell my friends haha!

46. What flavour tea do you enjoy?

I don’t like tea.

47. How many pairs of shoes do you currently own?

Only like 4 pairs haha! That’s including my school shoes. I don’t feel I need lots of pairs of shoes.

48. What religion will you raise your children to practice?

I won’t raise them to practise any religion because I want to let them choose when they are older what religion they want to practise.

49.How old were you when you found out that Santa wasn’t real?

I don’t know. My parents never told me they just knew I knew when I got older. I think I figured it out on my own.

50. Why do you have tumblr?

I have it but I don’t use it ever!
